Ok…. I know it’s a little early to post ANYTHING to do with Christmas… but this is something I really believe everyone (old, young, middle aged…. EVERYONE) should do for your family or that special someone in your life … and I’m afraid if I don’t tell you know they’ll be all gone…. so…. listen up!!
Five years ago we awoke to a trail (more like crushed crackers thrown everywhere) of saltine crackers scattered though our living room and ending at our Christmas tree! What in the world? Were my eyes deceiving me? Could it be true? Elves did exist and not only at the North Pole… but right in my very own living room. And not just any ole elves…. these were Elf Magic Elves! The best, most mischievous, dadblasting trouble making, loveable Elves my children… an me…. have EVER experienced. The stories of how they have wreaked havoc (amazing fun in the eyes of my children) in our home goes from mild to wild and even borders on INSANITY (according to my friends), lol!!
Yes… I’ve had many friends call me insane for allowing such creatures into my home, but if they were to experience the magic… true Elf Magic… that we enjoy, they too would be hooked! Let’s see…. these Elves have had marshmallow snowball fights all over our kitchen, made snow angels on the breakfast table after dumping out a bag of flour, toilet papered the inside of our house, written on my car ‘Elves Rule’ with window markers and to top it off, thrown eggs out of the refrigerator onto the kitchen floor…. and this is only part of the story!!
Caroline and Jake love (I’m talking SERIOUSLY LOVE) their Elves! Me on the other hand, well, I have a love hate relationship with them. I love making memories our children will pass down for years to come, but on the other hand I have to adorn a vacuum and bottle of Clorox wipes then entire holiday season! However I will tell you that these little Elves are so bad they have to bring me presents to make me feel better! So in between the little gifts they leave for the children, I receive wonderful fun holiday decorations for my home! Oh Yeah Baby!!!
